Karyn is British Canadian, born in Yorkshire then moved to North Vancouver and now living in Kelowna, BC. She studied art and textile design at college in the U.K, then took a break from painting to focus on a busy graphic design, print and packaging career.
Since moving to Canada, Karyn has embraced the West Coast creative scene and is now focusing on her art, with much of her work being inspired by local wildlife, oceans and landscapes. She works in acrylics, in a vibrant semi-abstract style. She is an Exhibiting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and also a member of the FCA Central Okanagan Chapter. She has exhibited several times at the Federation Gallery on Granville Island and participated in many shows and art events on the North Shore of Vancouver, Kelowna and Peachland. Karyn is a member of the Kelowna Palette Club and also enjoys engaging in volunteer work within the art community, hosting in galleries and helping set up exhibitions.
